Last week I wrote:
Never underestimate the power of a simple compliment.
Yesterday, a man called me just to inform me of how much he appreciated the Short Vort about Beryl, Boro Park and the trip down memory lane.
I always appreciate positive feedback - whatever the method.
Yet, when this person first called, i was unable to pick up.
He then sent me a text which gave me a heads on what the call was about.
However, I made the effort to call him back and hear his compliment directly.
Why?
Because there is nothing sweeter to a persons’s ear that a kind word!
Indeed, we all need chizuk!
Its one thing to read an email and or a text- and that's always appreciated!
However, to hear a live voice expressing thanks and a warm word- that's priceless!
And to experience that pleasure its worthy of a return phone call!
Make someone’s day today- give them a heartfelt and warm kind word- neither of you will lose out and all will gain!
