So I decided to go off line for 36 hours, meaning, I am still writing- however, I am not checking my email or phone messages etc.

Why did I do this?

Very simple.

I have found that too often when I am not directly involved in something, I almost subconsciously reach for my phone and look at emails etc.

I began to feel enslaved to the device.

It was dictating my actions and not the other way around.

Therefore, I consciously decided to NOT check my emails and even more-I left the phone behind when i went out about my day.

And guss what?

I was liberated!

I was free!

And best of all, the world did not collapse.

People continued to eat, learn, daven and best of all, actually speak to each other face to face!

For me it Independence Day!

I will update you with future developments.

In the meantime, I am enjoying my freedom!
