Rabbi Eisenman

This morning, my wife and I made our way to the Kosel to daven Vasikin.

As we arrived, we were awestruck by the amount of people who gathered at the Wall by 5 a.m.

There were all types of Jews from all over the world.

There were Ashkenazim and Sephardim, Chassidim and non-Chassidim.

There were those with hats and those without hats.

There were those who were hoping to have Hashem direct them to their Bashert.

And there were those who were hoping Hashem could help them navigate out of a situation where they were living with their “wrong” Bashert.

There were those who needed help with Parnossa and those who needed help figuring out how to free themselves from their unwanted Parnossa.

In short, everyone had some peckel that they needed to unburden themselves.

At the end of davening, they distribute coffee and rugelach.

People seemed less burdened as they munched on their rugelach and drank their coffee.

Were all their problems solved?

Probably not.

But, at least they knew that He was listening!

That fact, that He was listening, was already able to alleviate a good part of their issues.
