The White Purim

Rabbi Eisenman

Today as I made my way to Shul, snow was all over the grass and falling from the sky!

It should be a sign from Hashem that He has forgiven our sins, and we are off to a clean slate.

Remember, Yom Kippur is only “K’(as if) Purim”- perhaps the real “Yom Kippur” is today.

How is that?

The snow reminds us of white and cleansing.

If we make “Shalom” with Hashem on Yom Kippur, today we make Shalom with each other.

Today is a harder day because we must “Come clean as snow” and make Shalom with our friends.

This is a much harder task.

Hashem gave us a head start.

He made it snow today nice and early.

He showed us we could be as clean as snow.

Make Shalom with your friend today.

Forgive your friend today.

Start a new clean-white-as-snow slate with your friend today!

Enjoy Purim!
