Rabbi Eisenman

I am writing to you from 30,000 feet (is that correct?) over the Earth.

I am on my way to Memphis, Tennessee.

I have never been there before, so I’m very excited!

I am going there to teach Torah!

A great privilege!

There are many people who I must have Hokoras HaTov (gratitude) for making this trip possible.

Right now, I would like to thank the pilot and the crew who are safely flying me from Newark to Memphis.

But, there are so much more people who have made my trip a reality who I owe a debt of gratitude, however, I can never thank them.

I am referring to the people on the ground who wave wands and little batons to signal the pilot and guide him safely to take off.

These people must work outside every day of the year, in all types of conditions.

It can be freezing cold and they must work outside.

It can be sweltering heat, yet, they must remain at task facilitating our safe travel.

They can never work remotely or on Zoom.

They are present for every flight you and I fly on.

Yet, I never get to say thank you to them!

So my friends, I publicly express my profound gratitude and appreciation for the men and women who give their time and expertise to allow me to teach Torah in Memphis by guiding the plane safely!

May HaShem protect them and us and May we all be privileged to fly to Eretz Yisroel very soon!
